We once called Costa Rica home, and we’re better people now having had the opportunity to experience such an enchanting place and such a beautiful culture.
15-20 years ago, many travelers were in the dark about this small, Central American country. Now, however, more and more people from all over the world are flocking to Costa Rica to experience the abundant wildlife, scenic beaches, and active volcanoes. Costa Rica offers a little of something for everybody. If you are an adventure seeker, you can zip line through the jungle, white water raft, get up close and personal to crocodiles, or cliff dive off a waterfall. If you’re into nature, Costa Rica’s biodiversity is world class. Of course, if you would rather relax on the beach and sip a cocktail, Costa Rica has plenty of that too!
Lindsay and I lived in Costa Rica for 4 months in 2010 and have been back multiple times since we returned to the U.S. Costa Rica is absolutely a wonderful place and we encourage everyone to go there. Over there years, we have had the chance to visit much of the country and that information is all contained here. As always on Follow Your Detour, we strive to provide you with information and travel recommendations for the destinations that we have personally been to. We hope it helps you prepare for your own adventures!
